...so now comes the time when every proto-blogger has to start putting words on the screen and believe me, it ain't easy...
However, we're all grown up by now - almost sixty-three: birthday next month, Feb 25th, so let's just get on with it and let the words roll out!
I was born sixty-two years ago in a small Welsh village called Llanfrechfa, which is to the north of Newport in the county of Gwent.
Okay, that's enough of the past, get on with the present. I've only ever worked in the film and video sector, most of that with the BBC in Wales as a Lighting Cameraman, then TV Director, ending up as Producer.
However, after taking early retirement and continuing to work ,( I've never really thought of it as work; more like play that I get paid for) I've picked the camera up again and re-invented myself, working as a video cameraman as well as directing (mostly drama series for the BBC in Wales) and all in all having a great and fulfulling life. I'm still not rich though - at least, not in fiscal terms - although we do eat meat more than twice a week...
Anyway, that's got this blog up and running. For the rest of this evening, I have to get my head around some camera scripts for a Welsh soap that I'm currently directing. So I'll be returning to this page later, but more likely tomorrow, when I hope to have some witty and penetrating things to add...
